Kaligo harnesses the power of artificial intelligence to guide children from early years to Year 6 in mastering key literacy skills. From learning how to write to advancing in spelling, grammar, and phonics, Kaligo supports every step of the journey.

Available on tablets (Android and iOS), Kaligo works with a stylus, offering a handwriting experience similar to pen and paper but with all the benefits of digital tools.

With instant feedback and personalised learning, children can progress at their own pace, consolidating their learning both digitally and on paper.

Engaging, customisable exercises perfectly tailored to each skill

Kaligo is simple to use with a clear, easy-to-use interface. It supports traditional teaching methods with 4 types of exercises that help children build key skills:

Exercices de graphisme

Pre-writing exercises

From early years, children learn basic handwriting skills and how to form letters.

Exercices d’écriture

Writing exercises

Children learn to write letters first, then words, starting with capital letters and moving on to cursive.

Exercices d’orthographe

SPaG

Fun exercises to improve word memorisation, develop spelling and grammar skills.

Phonics exercises

Phonics exercises

Exercises for children to recognise sounds, match them with letters, and blend them to form words.

Instant and Motivating Feedback to Boost Progress

Kaligo provides immediate feedback for every exercise, helping children learn from mistakes before they become habits. Students compare their work with the correct model, and detailed feedback helps them correct errors early on. Success is rewarded with stars, boosting motivation. Teachers can even record personal voice messages, making feedback more engaging and tailored to each child.

Plus, the level of feedback can be adjusted to meet individual needs.

Intelligent Remediation for Individual Progress

Kaligo uses artificial intelligence to adapt exercises based on each student’s progress. If a child struggles with a particular letter or word, the app adjusts the tasks to their ability, ensuring they improve at their own pace.

Customised Learning Experience for Every Child

Kaligo’s interface is fully adjustable to meet each child’s needs. Teachers can change settings like text and background colours for better contrast and less eye strain. Visual guides and writing lines are also customisable, creating a more accurate, confidence-building environment. Clear visual and audio guidance further helps children progress at their own pace.

Quick Access to Personal Learning Spaces with QR Codes

Even young learners can easily use Kaligo. Each child has a unique QR code to access their personalised space, where they find assigned exercises, custom visual aids, and a history of their activities. This intuitive design ensures every child gets a tailored learning experience.

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

What does Kaligo's AI do exactly?

In principle, Kaligo’s AI has two functions. Firstly, Kaligo recognises and illustrates students’ mistakes. Poorly traced letters or misspelled words are flagged, and errors are indicated and explained (incorrect direction or order of writing strokes, etc.). Secondly, the AI creates individualised learning paths for each child: remediation. For example, in writing exercises, this means that initially, all students practice writing the same word, but then each focuses on the letters that are problematic for them. To learn more about our AI, check out our article on the subject.

Is the AI adapted to my teaching?

Each new version of Kaligo is built with input from teachers and according to the school curriculum of each country. The writing models (letter shapes, order and direction of strokes, line styles) found in Kaligo have been developed with these educators. The AI has been trained using data from students from various countries. Furthermore, the different versions of Kaligo have features that allow them to adapt to different teaching practices in various territories (specific fonts, specialised terminology, etc.).

Can I adjust the AI, or is its operation fixed?

The operation and analysis points of the AI are fixed. However, you have the option to make them more strict or more lenient, for example, by using different letter models or increasing the margin of error.
