Enhance Vocabulary and Reading Comprehension Through Kaligo’s SPaG Activities

SPaG or Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar plays a vital role in literacy development by helping children understand word construction, which in turn supports their writing skills. At Kaligo, we believe that integrating spelling and writing provides students with a strong foundation, enabling them to become confident and successful writers.

dictée de mot

I can spell

This exercise makes learning to spell simple and effective! Students hear the word they have to reproduce. Once the word written, Kaligo provides instant feedback and analyses their spelling to spot any mistakes, giving them the chance to try again and improve.

copie de mot

I can spell (look, cover, write)

In this exercise, students first see and hear the word. After reading it, the word disappears, and they must write it from memory, using the picture to help with the meaning. Just like in the “I can spell” exercise, Kaligo reviews their work, highlights any errors, and encourages them to have another go!

dictée de texte

Text dictation

To practise spelling and grammar, students write one or more sentences or a full text. They receive hints about any mistakes, are encouraged to correct them, and are then shown the correct version.
